Spring Clean-Up March 2018

The City of Rocky Top Spring pickup for junk, garbage or items that are not normally collected in household garbage pickup will be during the month of March the 1st and 3rd Wednesday for the South end and on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday for the north end of town. Items must be out by 7:00 am on your pickup day. A list of your street can be found at www.rockytoptn.org or Rocky Top City Hall.


The City of Rocky will not pick up Tires, building materials or debris from remodeling, hazardous materials (paint, solvents, batteries, petroleum products), air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers.

Credit/Debit Card Fees Effective 01.02.18

Effective January 2, 2018, fees for using a credit/debit card will go to 3% (in-person) and 4% (over-the-phone). Unfortunately, this increase is a direct result of the increased fees that will be paid to the processing company effective January 01, 2018.

Service regularly scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Wednesday; Service regularly scheduled for Tuesday will be picked up on Thursday.

Special Called Meeting 11.28.17 @ 6:30 PM

Public Notice

The City of Rocky Top will have a Special Called Meeting to appoint a new council member to fill the open seat and to vote on Resolution 529 on November 28, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at City Hall, 195 South Main Street, Rocky Top, TN 37769.

Notice of Public Meeting

City of Rocky Top will hold a public meeting on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 05:45 P.M. at City Hall.  The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss eligible projects and expected funding levels for the 2018 Community Development Block Grant Program. The public is invited to attend and comment.  All minority members of the public are encouraged to attend and comment.  The City of Rocky Top does not discriminate based on race, color or national origin in federal or state sponsored programs, pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d).
