Effective immediately, please be advised that the City of Rocky Top is implementing and will be enforcing Property Maintenance requirements and procedures for all properties within Rocky Top City limits. Please be aware that if your property does not meet the current codes, you will be receiving a letter with specific information on the violations and the steps that will need to be taken to rectify them. NOTICE OF CODES VIOLATION

Dear Occupant or Homeowner:
This your formal Notice of Violation of Property Codes and Ordinances related to property located within the city limits of the City of Rocky Top at the aforementioned address.
The following violation(s) require your immediate attention:
The violation(s) need to be corrected before a re-inspection in five (5) business days. If you will not have the violations corrected by the re-inspection date, you must contact City Hall to make specific arrangements. If there are no violations upon re-inspection, a case will not be opened, and no other action will be taken. Failure to correct violations will result in additional action which may include the following: being cited to court, fines of $50.00 per day, administrative/court fees, the city taking corrective action at the property owner’s expense and liens being placed on your property.
If you feel you are not subject to this Notice of Codes Violation, you may request to appear before the City of Rocky Top’s Appeals Board. The Appeals Board meets on 3rd Tuesday of each month, at the conclusion of the 6:00 pm Planning Commission. All requests must be in writing and scheduled at City Hall by 4:30 the Wednesday prior to the Appeals Board meeting to be placed on the agenda.
